Description

This three-day course provides the foundational training required to become a certified anthropometrist through the International Society for the Advancement of Kinanthropometry (ISAK). The course combines theory and practical sessions, enabling participants to develop reliable measurement skills and to understand the principles of anthropometry and body composition assessment.

Over the three days you will:
• Explore the science of human body composition, including anatomy and kinanthropometry.
• Learn and practise the restricted profile measurements (stature, body mass, eight skinfolds, six girths and three bone breadths) to the ISAK standard.
• Demonstrate adequate precision through intra-tester and inter-tester reliability assessments, meeting the required technical error of measurement (TEM) standards.
• Receive guidance on how to complete and submit the required 20 profile assessments post-course for full accreditation validity (valid for four years).
• Gain membership in ISAK upon successful completion, engaging with an international network of kinanthropometry professionals.

Who should attend:
This course is ideal for professionals or students working in sport science, nutrition, physiotherapy, strength and conditioning, rehabilitation, or other fields where accurate body composition and anthropometric assessment is important. If you are seeking to enhance your professional credentials and apply anthropometric methods in applied or research settings, this course will equip you with internationally recognised accreditation.
